London, England  - Arsenal striker Robin van Persie injured his knee playing with the Netherlands on Wednesday and will miss four weeks.

Van Persie, 24, has five goals this season in the Premier League for unbeaten Arsenal (7-0-1).

“It is a big blow. Robin is a striker, a supportive striker and important on set-pieces as well. I hope he will be back soon and we’ll do the maximum to get him back,” Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said.

Van Persie was injured in a EURO 2008 qualifier against Slovenia, which the Dutch won 2-0. He also has two goals in EURO qualifying.

Arsenal’s Philippe Senderos was also injured in international play. The Swiss defender hurt his back and will miss two weeks.

Despite the losses of van Persie and Senderos, defender William Gallas, goalie Jens Lehman and midfielder Tomas Rosicky are fit and will return on Saturday against Bolton.
