Injured Rams RB Jackson out vs. 49ers (AP)
Rams running back Steven Jackson will not play Sunday against the 49ers because of his injured right thigh, and coach Jim Haslett said he won’t even make the trip. Jackson did not practice Friday. By sitting out at San Francisco, he will have missed three of the last four games. Antonio Pittman and Travis Minor will be the running backs.

Reed is listed as doubtful for the game with Cleveland. Starting strong safety Donte Whitner hopes to play despite being listed as questionable.

Giants RT McKenzie charged with DWI (AP)
New York Giants offensive tackle Kareem McKenzie was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop Thursday night. McKenzie was stopped after he cut through a gas station lot at about 9:30 p.m., said Little Falls police Lt. Salvatore Calafiore. A Breathalyzer test found McKenzie’s blood-alcohol level was above New Jersey’s legal limit of 0.08.
