Final Score: San Francisco 10, Buffalo 3
Orchard Park, NY - Shaun Hill threw the only touchdown of the game in the first quarter and the San Francisco 49ers left Buffalo with a 10-3 victory. Isaac Bruce had five catches for 67 yards and the score while Hill went 14-for-23 with 161 yards for the 49ers (4-8), who won for the second time in the past three games. Frank Gore had 66 yards on 24 carries and added three catches for 23 yards in the win. The victory means that Arizona will have to wait at least another week before clinching the NFC West as the Cardinals lost to Philadelphia on Thanksgiving to drop to 7-5 on the season. If Arizona wins any of its final four games, it clinches the division. Trent Edwards went 10-for-21 with 112 yards, but was on the sidelines for the entire second half with a groin strain. J.P. Losman took over under center in the second half and went 11-for-17 with 93 yards while Marshawn Lynch had 16 carries for 134 yards for the Bills (6-6), who have gone 2-6 after opening the season with four straight wins.
Final Score: Baltimore 34, Cincinnati 3
Cincinnati, OH - Rookie quarterback Joe Flacco threw a pair of touchdowns, as the Baltimore Ravens stymied the lowly Cincinnati Bengals, 34-3, at Paul Brown Stadium. Flacco finished with a career-high 280 yards on 19-of-29 passing for the Ravens (8-4), who have won six of their last seven games and remain one game back of Pittsburgh in the AFC North. Final Score: Indianapolis 10, Cleveland 6
Cleveland, OH - Robert Mathis’ 37-yard fumble return with 9:45 remaining in the fourth quarter lifted the Indianapolis Colts to a 10-6 win over the Cleveland Browns. Peyton Manning completed 15-of-21 passes for 125 yards for Indianapolis, while Joseph Addai mustered only 57 yards on 15 carries. Manning threw a pair of interceptions and fumbled the ball on the goal line. Derek Anderson’s Pro Bowl campaign in 2007 resulted in a big contract in the offseason and heightened expectations for the Browns, but the Oregon State product endured a slow start and was relegated to backup duty in favor of Brady Quinn. But with the former Notre Dame signal-caller out for the season with a fractured right index finger, Anderson was back under center for the Browns (4-8), who have dropped four of their last five games. He threw for just 110 yards on 16-of-26 passing before leaving late in the fourth quarter with a sprained ligament in his left knee.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 298 yards and three touchdowns on 29-of-45 completions for Green Bay (5-7), which has lost two in a row and four of five. The Packers fell further behind in the NFC North, as Minnesota beat Chicago, 34-14, Sunday night. The Vikings took over first place in the division, while the Packers are a game behind the Bears for second. Greg Jennings, Donald Driver and Donald Lee each had a receiving touchdown in the loss for Green Bay.

Marc Bulger went 16-for-35 with 149 yards and was picked off three times while Steven Jackson, who had missed four of the last five games with a right thigh injury, started the game and had 21 carries for 94 yards for the Rams (2-10), who have dropped their last six games. Josh Brown went 4-for-4 on field goal attempts to account for all of St. Louis’ points.

Tampa Bay kept pace with Carolina for first place in the division, as the Panthers beat Green Bay, 35-31, on a late touchdown. The Bucs and Panthers now hold a three-game lead over New Orleans, with Atlanta one game back at 8-4. The Falcons beat San Diego, 22-16, later Sunday. Warrick Dunn ran for 74 yards, while Carnell Williams had a rushing touchdown for Tampa Bay. Antonio Bryant caught three passes for 63 yards and a score. Derrick Ward finished with 105 total yards for the Giants. New York has emerged victorious in 15 of its 16 most recent away games dating back to last season and improved to 8-0 against NFC opponents this season. Final Score: Atlanta 22, San Diego 16
San Diego, CA - Matt Ryan tossed a pair of touchdown passes and Michael Turner ran for 120 yards against his old team as the surprise Atlanta Falcons gutted out a 22-16 victory over the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium. Ryan was an efficient 17-of-23 passing for 207 yards and Turner was the workhorse with 31 carries as Atlanta (8-4) won for the fourth time in five games to keep pace in a stacked NFC South. Carolina and Tampa Bay both logged victories earlier Sunday to move to 9-3. Turner spent his first four NFL seasons in the enormous shadow of LaDainian Tomlinson before leaving San Diego via free agency after the 2007 campaign. The powerful 26-year-old signed with the Falcons in March for a long-awaited opportunity to be a feature back, and has proven he can handle the important role. Philip Rivers was a pedestrian 17-of-30 passing for 149 yards while Tomlinson continued his season-long struggles, but achieved some long-term success. He gained just 24 yards on 14 carries with a TD — the 136th of his career — tying him with Marshall Faulk for fifth on the all-time scoring list. Tomlinson also had five receptions for 42 yards, including the 500th catch of his career. Tony Gonzalez had eight grabs for 110 yards, while Connor Barth kicked a pair of field goals in the win. The Chiefs became the first team in NFL history to win six straight road games versus the Raiders. Kansas City won for only the second time in its last 21 games and last Sunday dropped a wild 54-31 decision at home to the Buffalo Bills. JaMarcus Russell was a woeful 10-of-28 passing for 132 yards for the Raiders (3-9), who were unable to build off a shocking 31-10 road victory over the Denver Broncos last Sunday.
