Jersey City, NJÂ - Milan Prodanovic scored 19 points to lead the Iona Gaels to a 60-52 victory over the Saint Peter’s Peacocks in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tussle at the Yanitelli Center.
Dexter Gray added 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Iona (9-15, 5-7 MAAC), which has won two consecutive contests.
Todd Sowell netted 14 points and collected 12 boards for Saint Peter’s (4-17, 1-10), while Wesley Jenkins and Nick Leon both chipped in 10 points apiece.
The Gaels shot a sizzling 56.5 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the break with a 34-25 lead.
In the second stanza, Iona held Saint Peter’s to a mere 32.3 percent shooting effort from the floor en route to the eight-point victory.
