Final Score: Toronto 116, Portland 109 (2-OT)

Toronto, ON - Chris Bosh scored six of his 38 points in the second overtime as Toronto persevered to beat Portland, 116-109, at the Air Canada Centre. The Trail Blazers deadlocked things at the end of regulation and in the first overtime with miraculous three-pointers but Toronto finally pulled away in the second overtime. Bosh set the tone with consecutive jumpers to start the second overtime and Anthony Parker finally put Portland away with an emphatic running dunk from the right baseline to make it 112-109 with 1:24 left. The Blazers didn’t score the rest of the way and the Raptors secured things with four free throws in the final minute. Parker added a season-high 25 points for the Raptors, who won their third straight game. Jose Calderon chipped in with 22 points and 10 assists, while Carlos Delfino had 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Brandon Roy finished with a career-high 33 points and 10 assists for the Blazers, who lost for the first time in five games in the opener of a season-high seven-game road swing. Channing Frye donated 16 points and seven boards, and Travis Outlaw had 18 points.

Final Score: Atlanta 105, Chicago 84

Atlanta, GA - Joe Johnson had 37 points, nine rebounds and six assists as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Chicago Bulls 105-84 at Philips Arena. Josh Childress added 14 points and nine boards for the Hawks, who snapped a 12-game losing streak to the Bulls. Atlanta hadn’t beaten the Bulls since a 116-101 win in Chicago on April 9, 2004. Marvin Williams donated 11 points and Al Horford grabbed nine rebounds for Atlanta, which won for the just the second time in seven games. Luol Deng scored 28 points in his return to the lineup after missing three games with a sore Achilles tendon for the Bulls, who have lost two of three. Andres Nocioni had 20 points, Joe Smith 12 and Kirk Hinrich 11 for Chicago, which was without Joakim Noah.

Final Score: New Orleans 87, Houston 82

Houston, TX - David West went off for 26 points while hauling in 12 rebounds, and the New Orleans Hornets stung the Houston Rockets, 87-82, in a game that went down to the wire. Chris Paul scored 19 points and dished out 11 assists for New Orleans, which has won five of six and 10 of its last 12 games. Jannero Pargo came off the bench for 10 points, as the Hornets picked up their seventh straight road win, improving to 15-5 as the visitor this season. Yao Ming poured in 30 points and grabbed 16 boards for Houston, which had a season-high five game winning streak snapped. Rafer Alston added 12 points and seven assists, as the Rockets dropped to 9-7 at home. Luther Head and Aaron Brooks each chipped in with 11 points. Houston lost for just the third time in 10 games since losing its leading scorer, Tracy McGrady, with a left knee injury.

Final Score: New York 89, Detroit 65

New York, NY - Zach Randolph scored 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds and the Knicks used a stifling defense to surprise the Detroit Pistons, 89-65, at Madison Square Garden. The Pistons were one point from a franchise-low, last set March 13, 2005 in a 64-62 home win against Utah. Antonio McDyess had 15 points and 13 rebounds for Detroit, which shot 30.7 percent from the field and had its two-game winning streak broken. The Knicks won just a day after reports surfaced the Knicks could remove head coach Isiah Thomas before the end of the season. A day later, he engineered the Knicks to a big win against a team he spent his entire playing career with. Jamal Crawford had all of his 15 points in the third quarter and Nate Robinson finished with 13 for the Knicks, who shot just 5-of-20 from three- point range. However, they had just seven turnovers and outscored the Pistons, 28-10, in the third quarter, opening a 29-point margin going into the fourth. The Knicks were able to limit the duo of Tayshaun Prince and Richard Hamilton to a total of three points on 1-of-17 shooting. They came into the game averaging a combined 26.5 points. New York snapped a two-game skid and won for just the second time in 11 contests.

Final Score: Golden State 106, Indiana 101

Oakland, CA - Monta Ellis scored 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 106-101 win over the Indiana Pacers. Baron Davis finished with 27 points, six assists, and seven boards for Golden State, which has won two in a row and three of four. Al Harrington had 14 points, and Kelenna Azubuike scored 11 off the bench. Jermaine O’Neal scored 27 points, had nine rebounds, and blocked six shots for Indiana, which has dropped four of five and nine of 11. Danny Granger finished with 20 points, and Mike Dunleavy had 18 points, 10 boards, and seven assists.

Final Score: LA Lakers 100, Memphis 99

Los Angeles, CA - Kwame Brown hit one free throw with 9.2 seconds left and Kobe Bryant scored 37 points as the Lakers overcame a knee injury to center Andrew Bynum and earned a 100-99 win over Memphis. Lamar Odom had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Los Angeles, winners of six in a row for the first time since the 2003-04 season when they won 11 straight. Bryant shot just 3-of-10 from three-point range, but missed only one of his 15 foul shots. Bynum was helped off the court with a sprained left knee early in the third quarter. He was hurt after coming down on Odom’s foot while going for a rebound. X-rays taken were negative. Bynum, who totaled 10 points and nine boards before leaving the game, will have an MRI on Monday. Mike Miller had 27 points and Pau Gasol had a spectacular game with 21 points, 18 rebounds, eight assists and four blocks, but the Grizzlies suffered their fourth straight defeat.
