Jake Peavy’s monthlong stay on the disabled list is fading into memory. Peavy threw seven scoreless innings and Scott Hairston homered twice in the San Diego Padres‘ 4-2 victory over the slumping Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night. “I was definitely better than I had been my previous couple of starts,” said Peavy, sidelined for just under a month in May and June with the sore elbow.
