Monday, January 7th (All times eastern)

San Antonio Spurs (23-9) at Golden State Warriors (19-15), 10:30 p.m.

The Golden State Warriors attempt to put the brakes on a two-game losing streak, as they host the San Antonio Spurs tonight at ORACLE Arena.

This is the second meeting of the campaign between the squads. On December 11th, Stephen Jackson scored 20 points and Baron Davis netted 18 to lead Golden State to a 96-84 victory over the Spurs at ORACLE Arena.

San Antonio has dropped two of its last three at Golden State.

The Spurs will host the Warriors on April 1st at the AT&T Center in the third and final meeting of the regular season between the clubs.

Golden State wraps up a two-game homestand. Chris Paul scored 24 points and dished out 13 assists to lead the New Orleans Hornets over the Warriors, 116- 104, on Wednesday at ORACLE Arena.

Davis finished with 26 points and eight assists, while Al Harrington scored 24 points in the loss to the Hornets for Golden State, which has lost two straight and three of its last five games overall. Andris Biedrins scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in defeat.

The Warriors are scheduled to visit Brandon Roy and the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday at the Rose Garden. Golden State, which has dropped two in a row as the host, is 8-7 at home this season.

San Antonio concludes a two-game road trip this evening. On Sunday, Tim Duncan notched a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds but left the game early with an apparent left knee injury, as the Spurs knocked off the Clippers, 88-82, at the Staples Center.

Tony Parker scored a game-high 26 points for San Antonio, which snapped a four-game road skid. Manu Ginobili returned from a five-game hiatus due to a sprained index finger, and poured in 23 points as the Spurs won for the fifth time in their last seven contests overall.

Duncan, who is averaging 18.1 points and a team-best 10.5 rebounds per game, is probable for the Spurs, who are 6-7 on the road this season.

After tonight’s contest, the Spurs return home for a four-game homestand. They will host the Detroit Pistons, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers on the upcoming stand.
